Required Tools and Supplies For Basic Soldering | Soldering Basics | Soldering for Beginners

This is the first video for a 3 part sub-series that I’m adding to my Soldering Basics video series. This sub-series is about Tools and Supplies for Basic Soldering. This soldering series is a great way to learn soldering for beginners. In this video I’m showing what’s required for basic soldering, and it should help you with setting up a good soldering kit for beginners.

  1. The description of this video has links to some playlists I’ve made for Basic Soldering. I also added some links to help you find items that are similar to what I’m using in this video.

  2. Coffee cups work great as iron holders to keep the tip hot (with the iron handle down in the cup) and hopefully not burn anything lol

  3. The more flux the better when u went through schooling for this we would legit just take 2 wires we would solder togeather and just dip the whole connection in the flux then start bonding them togeather it just helps heat it all up faster but also it seems the solder just flows everywhere the flux was at almost like you made a hole for a river and poured water in it so the water flows everywhere in the river and nowhere else.

  4. I have the cheap soldering pen but it starts to glow the longer i have the switch on and its not even for that long just 3 to 5 mins maximum
