Hoto Electric Precision Screwdriver Pro Kit Review vs iFixit | GOTW EP03

The Hoto Precision Screwdriver Kit Pro is an electric screwdriver and repair kit for electronic devices like laptops and mobile phones but I’ve also used it for 3D printers and general repairs around the house. Basically anything with small screws and bolts including glasses, watches and childrens’ toys.

  1. I have multiple Milwaukee Electric screwdrivers. My oldest one was actually my father’s, and that little beast has been running for 30 years. Of course, the rechargeable batteries need to be changed every 2 to 4 years. Milwaukee have just recently upgraded the 2.4 V drivers that I’ve owned for years to a 4V electric screwdriver which I do not own so I have no comment on how good it is. I didn’t even think of this thing until I watched this video, 30 years damn, that blows my mind.

  2. Thanks for a clear and thorough review. I agree that the shaft speed could stand to be higher as might the higher of the two torque settings but I could see living with those constraints. This might, in fact, have been the driver for me but the non-replaceable battery is a deal breaker. The search continues.

  3. Because of my osteoarthritis I find electrical screwdriver more convenient to use. For single screws however, I definitely prefer a regular screwdriver for better control of grip and torque. I also find the torque of the electrical one to be too weak in many cases, hence I need the mechanical ones more often than none.
